About The Author

Lars Konrad Mooresmith grew up rambling with his brother and a dog over the rolling hills outside a sleepy town in the Inland Northwest of the United States. He spent most of college with his nose in a book, preferably an action packed fantasy or sci fi novel, but looked up one day to find he had graduated with a degree in neuroscience. It was a no-brainer for him to continue on to graduate school where he now spends most of his time industriously poking that mysterious tangle of neurons called the central nervous system to see what makes memories tick.

Besides prose, he also writes poetry ranging from humorous to darkly incisive. Outside writing, he enjoys hobby lock picking, painting, 3D printing, swords and sorcery role playing games, and still takes meandering walks through the city.

He currently lives in the Greater Boston area juggling graduate work, writing, punning and sleep.

5 Random Facts About Me

  1. My all time favorite role playing game is Dungeons and Dragons. I GM a lot of homebrew campaigns for friends and family. I’ve played almost every class of character, though I have a soft spot for underpowered builds with high role play potential.
  2. I once accidentally yelled “More power, Igor!” during a neuroscience experiment right before my boss walked past the open door.
  3. There is nothing as perfect as the feel of a stiff breeze over rolling hills of golden wheat on a hot, late summer day.
  4. Dragon Age: Origins may be my all time favorite game. Mostly for the story, atmosphere and characters, not the gameplay. Swooping is bad.
  5. I grew up helping my dad do small-time construction and worked part time cleaning college apartments. The skills and tenacity I learned have been more valuable to me at grad school than most of what I studied at college.
